March 4, 2010.  Edward Miller and the SHARE research team led by Vincent Mor have released an issue brief presenting summary findings from their evaluation of Rhode Island's HEALTHpact initiative.

February 9, 2010.  SHARE grantee Anna Sommers, of The Hilltop Institute (University of Maryland, Baltimore County), has released a new issue brief titled, "Small Business Participation in the New Mexico State Coverage Insurance Program: Evaluation Results."

February 3, 2010.  The state of Oregon has begun expanding the pool from which names of low-income adults are randomly drawn for enrollment in state-subsidized insurance coverage through the Oregon Health Plan (OHP), for which they are eligible through a 1115 Medicaid expansion waiver.  The drawings, which began on February 1^st, will be held each month until OHP enrollment increases by 35,000.

SHARE grantee Joel Cantor was interviewed recently by Congressional Quarterly for a December 11^th story on the broad political appeal of expanding young adult dependent coverage.

On December 5^th, SHARE Deputy Director Elizabeth Lukanen was a featured speaker at the University of Minnesota Academic Health Center's Student Leadership Summit.  Ms. Lukanen spoke to a group of health professions students about the history, current status, and possible outcomes of federal health reform, with an eye to the potential impact of reform on practitioners.

December 2, 2009.  Stan Dorn spoke yesterday at an Alliance for Health Reform policy briefing in Washington, D.C.  The briefing featured a discussion about effective and efficient mechanisms for determining eligibility for public insurance programs and enrolling those who are eligible.
