The goal of this webinar is to inform the audience of research conducted at the Census Bureau on adapting its federal surveys to measure health insurance post-reform, including participation and subsidization through the new marketplaces/exchanges created through the Affordable Care Act.  Several other surveys within the federal statistical system are planning to adopt the same basic approach. Learn about the study results, which can provide guidance for adapting your own state surveys, and learn how your surveys may compare with other federal surveys.

Presentation by Lindsey Leininger on October 11, 2013, at the 26th Annual State Health Policy Conference, hosted by the National Association of State Health Policymakers (NASHP) in Washington, DC.  In the presentation, Dr. Leininger, discussed findings from her SHARE-funded analysis of the utility of self-reported health measures for prospectively identifying new adult Medicaid enrollees with high health care needs.

Presentation by SHARE Deputy Director Donna Spencer on October 18, 2013, at the 27th Annual Conference of the American Evaluation Association (AEA) in Washington, D.C.  Dr. Spencer presented the results of a systematic review of the data and methods used to conduct SHARE-funded research during the course of the grant program.  She also discussed the lessons learned about the various approaches used.

The State Health Access Reform Evaluation (SHARE) is a National Program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) created to support the evaluation of health policy reform at the state level and develop an evidence-based resource to tinform health reform efforts in the future.  SHARE has awarded 33 grants since its inception. This document provides an overview of these grants, with a primary focus on the most recent round of funding, which was awarded in 2012.
