Margaret Koller

Margaret is the Co-Principal Investigator on a SHARE-funded project that will analyze state and federal policies that expand dependent coverage to young adult dependents.  She is currently the Executive Director at Rutgers Center for State Health Policy, where she directs all of the Center's strategic planning, administration and financial activities.  She has expertise in the areas of insurance market regulation & operations.  Margaret oversees the Center's Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant portfolio and is currently the Project Director for the Center's health reform implementation support projects. 

Professional Background

In November 2004, Margaret received an appointment to the New Jersey Small Employer Health Benefits Program Board of Directors.  Before joining the Center in February 2001, Margaret worked for Prudential HealthCare, which was later acquired by Aetna.  During her five years at Prudential and Aetna, she helped launch SeniorCare, Prudential Health Care's Medicare HMO, and was later the Senior Product Manager.  Margaret also managed the Physician Credentialing Department and served on the business integration transition team after Aetna's acquisition. 

Additional Professional Roles

Prior to her experience in managed care, Margaret spent five years as a Congressional Aide in the district office of Congressman Bernard Dwyer. Margaret was a fellow at the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University where she earned an MS in Public Policy.
