State Policy Summaries
The specific policies used by states to expand access to insurance coverage vary widely and depend largely on the nature of each state’s coverage gaps. However, there are a number of general policy types that are widely-used across states. The following tables each provide a list of states currently using the policy approach described, along with a short description of each state’s particular policy.
One or more SHARE grantees are studying each of the policy types described in these tables, and each table provides links to its relevant SHARE studies.
