Karen Turner, B.A., Senior Programmer Analyst
Karen Turner joined SHADAC in 2008 after spending 18 years working in data collection in public health survey research. She has spent time in both Epidemiology and Health Services and Policy data collection, building her knowledge of the variety of methodologies used in health research. During that time Ms. Turner was involved in CATI, SAS and database programming and UNIX system administration, as well as instrument and study design. Currently Ms. Turner offers SAS and Stata support to SHADAC researchers, as well as assistance on health access survey data collection. She also conducts the sampling for all researchers wishing to use Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Beneficiaries as research subjects. In addition, she continues to use her CATI programming skills, supporting the web demonstration versions of census instruments through the Minnesota Population Center. Ms. Turner holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota.
