Cataloging Public Health Expenditures in Idaho
This report is one out of a series of five reports prepared for the Idaho Office of Performance Evaluations (OPE), the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee, and the Idaho Health Care Task Force as part of the project, "Idaho’s Health Care Costs and Options to Improve Health Care Access."
This report presents a study of public (i.e., government) health care expenditures in Idaho conducted by SHADAC. The purpose of the study was to systematically collect and organize data on and quantify federal, state, and local government health care expenditures in Idaho between 2002 and 2006. The report covers five broad categories of spending: 1) Medicare, 2) Medicaid/Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), 3) public employee health benefits, 4) safety net programs, and 5) other government health care spending. December 2007.
