Karen Turner, BA
Senior Programmer Analyst
Ms. Turner currently serves as a Senior Programmer Analyst at SHADAC. Her experience includes 18 years of working in data collection in public health survey research. She has spent time doing data collection for both epidemiology and health services research and policy, building her knowledge of the variety of methodologies used in these areas. She has conducted CATI, SAS and database programming, and UNIX system administration, along with instrument and study design.
Ms. Turner provides SAS and STATA support to SHADAC in the form of data analysis and data weighting, as well as assistance on health access survey data collection. She’s also SHADAC's lead GIS analyst, creating static and dynamic mapping systems relating to health care access and health policy.
Ms. Turner holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Minnesota.
