Natalie Schwehr, PhD, MAc
Senior Research Associate
Natalie Schwehr joined SHADAC in 2015 and currently serves as a Senior Research Associate. Dr. Schwehr’s research interests include healthcare equity, access, and quality. She has worked with numerous federal datasets to monitor state-level changes in key measures of healthcare in order to inform health policy and provide technical assistance to states. Her work includes the design and implementation of quantitative evaluations of health policies using federal survey data as well as administrative claims data.
Previously, Dr. Schwehr conducted systematic literature reviews as a Research Assistant for the Minnesota Evidence-based Practice Center. Her research experience also includes decision-analytic modeling. Dr. Schwehr holds a Ph.D. in Health Services Research, Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Acupuncture degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University in the Comparative Study of Religion.
