Natalie Schwehr, PhD, MAc
Senior Research Associate

Natalie Schwehr joined SHADAC in 2015 and currently serves as a Senior Research Associate. Dr. Schwehr’s research interests include healthcare equity, access, and quality, and using data to inform health policy decisions. She works with numerous federal datasets, as well as claims data, creating decision-analytic modeling and conducting systematic literature reviews. She also collaborates on multiple aspects of projects: research design and planning, data management and analysis, reporting findings and disseminating results.

Previous to joining SHADAC, Ms. Schwehr worked as a Research Assistant for the Minnesota Evidence-based Practice Center and gained experience in evidence synthesis, working in multidisciplinary teams, and communicating research to a broad audience.

Dr. Schwehr holds a Ph.D. in Health Services Research, Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Acupuncture degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University in the Comparative Study of Religion.
